1. Hit the Beaches

As the main reason why most visitors head to Quy Nhon in the first place, no trip to the beach capital would be complete without exploring the area's most popular attractions. From Bai Xep beach, Eo Gio beach, Ky Co beach to Municipal beach, the number of coastal paradises accessible to tourists is truly staggering. Whether you are based at the Anantara Quy Nhon Villas or any other accommodation hub, travellers are never too far from a white, sandy beach that's not only perfect for swimming but also for bar hopping in the veil of night. Some of the best luxury resorts in Vietnam are found on the shores of Quy Nhon and those who wish to make the most of their time in the area would do well to stay at a coastal hotel.

2. Go on a Temple Tour

Quy Nhon is also where travellers will find some of the most impressive Buddhist temples in all of Vietnam due to the area's rich cultural heritage. A long stay in Quy Nhon affords travellers the chance to venture beyond the well-known landmarks such as Chua Long Khanh, Chua Minh Tịnh and Chua Hien Nam, which are situated right in the city centre, to explore lesser-known temples the likes of Chua Pho Minh. The Chua Long Khanh is by far the largest and most imposing temple in the region and was originally built during the 18th century although the temple that stands today is a more recent construction. Containing the sculpture of Avalokitesvara, the temple is not the only venue with an iconic statue to its name as the Ngoc Hoa Monastery also houses the twin golden Buddha statues.

3. Sign Up for an Island Hopping Tour

Often regarded as one of the best ways to discover the unique geographical layout of Quy Nhon, an island hopping tour provides visitors with the chance to explore the small paradise isles that are just off the coast of Quy Nhon. The most well-known among these is Kho Island and Ky Co Island where one can not only enjoy swimming and snorkelling activities but also tour a turtle conservation centre.

4. Go Dune Sliding

Although Mui Ne is famed as a location in Vietnam where tourists can enjoy dune sliding, this engaging activity is also accessible to those holidaying in Quy Nhon where one finds the mammoth Phuong Mai dunes. Occupying pride of place near Nhon Ly Beach, these dunes are not only ideal for sandboarding but also for taking stunning photographs with the dunes serving as the backdrop.

5. Visit the Museums

Regarded as a history buff's dream come true, a stay in Quy Nhon would be incomplete without visiting the cultural institutions that are found within the beach haven. The Binh Dinh Museum is among the most visited cultural highlights in the city as it documents the evolution of the area from the Cham dynastic period to the Vietnam War. Another museum worthy of exploration includes the Quang Trung Museum where one finds ancient weapons, attire and artefacts dating back to the Tay Son dynasty and the Tay Son rebellion.
