 Day One

For the first day of your stay in Melbourne, you can explore the areas around the Melbourne Central Business District also known as Melbourne CBD. You can start your day at the main transportation location which is the Flinders Saint Station and then move to Federation Square. Depending on where your accommodation is since there are so many places to stay in Melbourne, if this location is not too far for everyone, you can make this the meeting spot if you are meeting with someone else for your tours. The station building itself is beautiful and has a decaying ballroom on the third floor but you can only visit it on certain days. You can explore its lanes and in the city with its world-renowned graffiti and art and even snack on something or have breakfast at a café close by. If you are a cricket fan you should make time to visit the Melbourne Cricket Grounds which is an iconic location in the city. You should also make time to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens and the National Gallery of Victoria and enjoy a lovely meal in Chinatown after some quick shopping.

Day Two

It is best to allocate a day or two for your explorations outside of Melbourne CBD if you are pressed for time. On day two you can have a hearty breakfast at your hotel or serviced apartment such as Avani Melbourne Box Hill Residences and set out to explore the suburbs. You can start by exploring Abbotsford Convent which is home to studios, galleries, a radio station, parks, a school, and even restaurants and cafes. Before lunch, you can sample some of the craft beer flavours that are available in Collingwood and then enjoy a scrumptious lunch at an outdoor restaurant. You can head towards Fitzroy exploring the area and shopping and if you want to really treat the shopaholic in your you can head to Brunswick Street where you can find many handmade clothes, bags, accessories, jewellery, and even shoes and sandals which are unique and beautiful. However, this is not the best place to shop if you are on a budget but it is a great place to find some unique products for gifts and souvenirs. Once you are done with shopping you can make your way to have a dinner with a view as many of the restaurants in the area will offer.

Day Three

Start off early on day 3 and set off to explore St Kilda and the seaside before you go back to the Melbourne city centre to enjoy the raving nightlife. The St Kilda Pier is a must-visit location if you are in the vicinity; after exploring you could get a coffee from a small shop while doing some people-watching to your heart’s content. The pier is a busy location and you will find some people fishing and some walking their dogs. If you are not a fan of observing people you can head to Luna Park which was opened in 1912 and is the oldest theme park in St Kilda to date. Towards lunch, sit at a restaurant that offers a view of the beach and enjoy a delightful seafood meal. If you have time to spare you can head to Brighton beach as well and take some Instagram-worthy pictures. Towards the evening, head back to Melbourne city, get dressed up and go for a fancy dinner at a restaurant and make the best of your last day in Melbourne.
