By Air

Dubai International Airport (DXB) is the main entrance you'll likely fly into when visiting Dubai. It's served by Emirates Airlines, which connects Dubai to around 150 places all over the globe. The airport itself is pretty impressive, loaded with all sorts of comforts to make your time there as smooth as can be. If you get a chance, pick a window seat for your flight in. You'll get to see Dubai's amazing coastline and skyline from above, which is a fantastic way to start your trip.

By Land

Travelling to Dubai by road is a great option thanks to the UAE's excellent highways. For instance, you can drive or take a bus from Oman directly into Dubai without needing a visa ahead of time. This makes road trips to Dubai pretty straightforward.

Getting to The Palm

The Plam, boasting exclusive residences in Dubai and home to the likes of Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, has become one of the most sought-after landmarks in the UAE. Getting here is quite easy thanks to the Palm Jumeirah Monorail. It runs to Atlantis Aquaventure Station from the Palm Gateway Station in Al Sufouh. There are five stations along the route including The Palm Gateway, Al Ittihad Park, Nakheel Mall, The Pointe, and Atlantis Aquaventure. Tickets cost AED 20 for a one-way trip from Palm Gateway to Atlantis Aquaventure, and AED 30 for a return trip. Children ride free, but conditions apply. The monorail operates daily from 9 AM to 10 PM, with trains departing every 15 minutes. There's no direct metro connection, but a footbridge links the Palm Jumeirah Tram Station to the monorail's Palm Gateway Station.

Public Transport

Dubai's public transport, managed by the RTA, is top-notch and easy to use, covering buses, metro, trams, and water taxis, all payable with a Nol card. The Metro and Tram connect key spots, offering designated areas for women, the elderly, and disabled passengers for added comfort. Buses provide a cost-effective way to get around, with over 1,500 air-conditioned vehicles and frequent services.

Dubai Water Taxi

The Dubai Water Taxi offers a unique way to navigate the city, gliding across its waterways. With 44 stops across two zones, it connects key locations like Dubai Marina and Dubai Creek. Available from 3 PM to 11 PM, fares vary from AED 55 to AED 205, based on travel distance. For a more personal journey, you can charter a water taxi for AED 400 per hour.

Dubai Water Bus

The Dubai Water Bus is a great choice for short trips in Dubai Marina, providing a smooth ride between the region’s skyscrapers and attractions. It runs every 15 to 20 minutes and is affordable, making it a convenient option for getting around the Marina without the hassle of traffic.

Abras and Ferries

In Dubai, traditional Abras and ferry services offer a blend of old-world charm and modern efficiency. Abras allow for nostalgic crossings of Dubai Creek at low costs, while Dubai Ferries link different city parts via scenic waterways. Plus, these ferries are equipped with amenities like air conditioning, restrooms, and entertainment.

Booking and Payment

You can book tickets for Dubai's marine transport, like water buses and ferries, online through the RTA website or the RTA Dubai app. Using a Nol card makes payments easy; it integrates well with Dubai's public transport system. These services offer both residents and tourists a unique view of Dubai's skyline and a convenient way to move around the city.
